Anastasia Contour Palette Review: A Game-Changer for Customizing Your Look

The Anastasia contour palette has been making waves in the beauty community, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on this versatile kit. With six shades to choose from, you can customize your look to suit your skin tone and personal preferences.

I was a bit disappointed with the Carob shade, as it wasn't as deep as I prefer for contouring. However, setting it with BECCA Cacao Mineral Powder made all the difference. The Chocolate shade is a great match for my skin tone, although it's a bit darker and warmer in undertone. This might be perfect for me when I tan.

I used Nude to highlight and Carob to contour, and the coral shade proved to be a cool trick for correcting dark spots. Simply apply the color first and then layer your regular foundation shade over it for a flawless finish.

One of the things that sets this palette apart is its versatility. With three shades from Medium overlapping into Deep (Nude, Cinnamon, and Chocolate), you can use them as concealer, base, corrector, or contouring tool. This makes it an excellent option for those who tan in the summer or have a range of skin tones.

While some may find six shades to be overwhelming, I think this palette is all about customization. You don't need to use all six shades, and you can mix and match to create different looks. For example, you can use the Warm Coral shade to correct dark spots or add depth to your contour.

Unfortunately, the Anastasia Contour Palette is currently only available at Macy's stores and on the brand's website. There's no word yet on when it will hit Sephora or Ulta shelves.

In my experience, getting your hands on this palette wasn't easy. I had to try multiple times before finally securing a Dark kit from the Anastasia site. But trust me, it was worth the wait.

If you're looking for a contour palette that caters to darker skin tones like mine (see also: Contouring for Very Deep Dark Skin), then this might be the perfect option for you. With its ability to customize and correct, I think this palette has the potential to become a game-changer in the world of contouring.
